​Salary Scale 4, £18,070 – £20,138

36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday


Based at the Service Training Centre, Washington Hall, Euxton, the role of Training Support Officer is to provide support to the Training Centre by way of a range of backup services related to the provision of training courses and will involve working inside and outside in all weather conditions.


You will be able to work at height (max 20m), in confined spaces and run out hose of 25m length.  In order to build positive relationships with students and colleagues you will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to effectively meet the needs of the wider team.  The ability to maintain records, both manual and electronic, is essential, as is the undertaking of routine maintenance tasks in order to maintain fireground props.  Also required is Category 'B' driving licence and an ability to demonstrate a commitment to equality and diversity.


Flexibility is required to accommodate weekend working when required i.e. pad days, crew training and charity days.
