Salary scale 5 - £20,456 - £22,434

36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

           

A vacancy has arisen for an Equipment Technician based in the Fleet and Engineering Department, Breathing Apparatus and Equipment Section, Washington Hall, Chorley. The successful applicant will contribute to the work of the Service by providing a range of support relating to the inspection, testing and maintenance of Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service operational assets including ladders, cutting equipment, Honda petrol engines, pumps and other forms of Fire Fighter and Rescue equipment.

 

You will have experience of maintaining, inspecting, servicing and repairing small Plant Equipment, with an up to date knowledge of Health and Safety in the workplace and the ability to communicate effectively.  You will be required to have a current driving licence and able to demonstrate a commitment to equality and diversity.  You must also be able to work flexibly, including 'on call' and occasional weekend working when required in order to maintain front line resources.

 

The closing date is 12 noon, 2nd September 2016 with the interviews being held week commencing 26th September 2016.
