​​Below is the job description for the Heads of Service Delivery

  • Plan and implement the operational response strategy as directed by the Executive Board to meet agreed aims and objectives

  • Provide strategic direction for the overall management of the service delivery function through effective decision making and to achieve targeted performances in reducing risk to the community through planned prevention and protection activities

  • Provide leadership, influence and support to staff to effect the necessary cultural change, championing diversity and developing a highly flexible and responsive service

  • Promote strategic links with other Fire and Rescue Services, Local Authorities, the wider community and other external bodies providing appropriate representation on behalf of Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service

  • Represent Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service at the appropriate level within partnership arrangements, including acting as the Service’s strategic lead within unitary authorities

  • Attend and provide strategic advice at operational incidents/exercises and take command where appropriate
