  • To plan and develop strategies in relation to training and development within Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service


  • Lead and manage the Training Function of Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service within the framework of policies and procedures determined by the Service Management Team and to training policy


  • To be responsible as Budget Holder for the effective management and utilisation of financial resources relating to training within Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service


  • Attendance at operational incidents and take command where appropriate


  • To support regional collaboration in the delivery of the National Workforce Development Strategy. Attend and provide strategic advice at operational incidents/exercises and take command where appropriate
