Salary scale 5 - £19,621 – £21,519
36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, flexitime working arrangements.
A vacancy has arisen for a breathing apparatus maintenance technician based in the Breathing Apparatus Recovery Unit, Washington Hall, Chorley. The successful applicant will contribute to the work of the Service by providing a range of repair and maintenance services in respect of Breathing Apparatus and related equipment.
You will have recent experience of fault finding and repair of mechanical components, with an up to date knowledge of Health and Safety in the workplace and the ability to communicate effectively. A current category B driving licence and the ability to demonstrate a commitment to equality and diversity are essential for this post. You must also be able to work flexibly, including ‘on call’ and occasional weekend working when required in order to maintain front line resources.
Full training in all technical aspects of the vacancy will be provided.
