TEMPORARY BUSINESS SYSTEMS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER (18 MONTH CONTRACT)
Salary £22,221 – £26,276 per annum
36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, flexitime working arrangements.
Based at Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service Headquarters,Garstang Road, Fulwood,Preston, the role of the Business Systems Development Officer is to provide bespoke application and web based solutions in accordance with the needs and priorities of the Service.
As a Microsoft SharePoint 2010 Designer/Developer you will have proven experience in all aspects of delivering end to end solutions and the development lifecycle, with drive and enthusiasm for introducing and adhering to acknowledged best practice and methods. You should also have a broad range of technical skills, not least in SharePoint, .NET and SQL development (inc. SQL Reporting Services) but also in periphery disciplines such as source code and version management, unit & regression testing and general release procedures. Project planning or project management experience would also be an advantage, as would the ability to communicate with all levels of employees within an organisation.
This is an exciting new role within a Fire and Rescue Service which has recognised that successful delivery of projects into a SharePoint environment will help to achieve the organisations data sharing and consolidation goals. The role will also contribute to creating the Service’s development policies and procedures.
