In delivering our services, Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service has a significant impact on the environment. We are committed to ‘becoming a fire and rescue service that is low carbon and well adapted to the effects of climate change by 2020′.
Our Climate Change and Environment Strategy contains a number of improvement objectives and:
* Sets out how the Service will meet environmental and climate change challenges;
* Provides a framework for an ongoing programme of action on environment and climate change issues;
* Guides the Service in working with partner organsiations and other stakeholders on environmental issues locally, regionally and nationally;
* Raises awareness of key environmental issues affecting Lancashire.
