Community Fire Safety Practitioners work in our communities to develop and deliver community fire safety activity to local people. Based at fire stations across the county, they work closely with operational colleagues to identify community safety problems and develop initiatives designed to solve the problems. They deliver home fire safety checks and work with community groups to spread vital life-saving advice. Some practitioners have a special advocacy which means they have specialist knowledge in a particular area such as working with older people, drug users or young people which gives them additional responsibilities for working with people from these groups or backgrounds.
