COMMUNITY FIRE SAFETY TEAM LEADER

 Salary Scale £22,221 – £26,276 per annum

36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, flexitime working arrangements.

Based at Burnley Fire Station, Belvedere Road, Burnley, Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service are looking for a Community Fire Safety Team Leader to lead and manage Community Fire Safety staff, promote and enforce Fire Safety in accordance with the Authority’s policies and procedures and to work with appropriate partners to achieve the same.

You will have a minimum of 4 GCSE’s (grade C or above) or equivalent, effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to use all aspects of Microsoft Office applications.  Effective leadership, supervisory or management experience is essential, as is experience of presenting to small and large groups.  You must be able and prepared to work outside normal office hours and work effectively and safely as a lone worker.  Effective team working skills are also required as is a current driving licence and the ability to demonstrate a commitment to equality and diversity.

The closing date is 12 noon, 1 April 2011 with the interviews being held on 12 April 2011.
