The first section introduces the Community Safety Strategy and describes the County of Lancashire. It sets out roles and responsibilities and provides information on how we are organised to deliver effective community safety. The next chapters describe how we calculate risk and risk reduction, and how we use the information we have to target our work. They also describe how we work with partners to contribute to shared objectives – particularly through Local Area Agreements. The final part of the booklet provides detailed information about our work to prevent fires and other emergencies including road traffic collisions and provide protection through educaiton, risk awareness and technical solutions. It also sets out our strategy for deployment to emergency incidents and describes how we will report performance on achievement of the strategy.
