The Environmental Information Regulations 2004 give individuals the right to access environmental information that public authorities hold and requires the authorities to make such information available to the public by electronic means which is easily accessible; and take reasonable steps to organise the information relevant to its functions with a view to the active and systematic dissemination to the public of the information.
