Operational Assessment Peer Review 2010
In February 2010, we commissioned a peer review of our operations. The results provide a positive endorsement of the Audit Commisions finding that the Service is ‘Excellent’. The report particularly highlights as strengths, partnership working; leadership and commitment by staff and Authority members and a well developed risk analysis, planning and performance framework. Audit Commission – Organisational Assessment 2009
In its ‘Organisational Assessment’, the Audit Commission finds that Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service is ‘Excellent’ – signicantly exceeding minimum requirements. Workforce planning and the management of performance are particularly highlighted as strengths but the Service is also found to be performing well in the areas of use of resources, manaing finances and governence.
