Helpdesk Operator

HELPDESK OPERATOR – Fixed term contract up to 31 March 2013

Salary Scale – £17,161 – 19,126

36.15 hours per week, flexitime working arrangements

Based at Service Headquarters, Garstang Road, Fulwood, the role of the Helpdesk Operator is to provide a first line support to end user problems relating to both hardware and software.  You will also be first point of contact for all issues relating to both IT and Communications.

You will have a minimum of 4 GCSE’s or a NVQ 2 in an Administrative subject, or equivalent qualification.  The ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, along with the aptitude to produce basic and detailed information from notes to written reports is essential, as is the ability to work on your own initiative, prioritise your own workload and demonstrate a commitment to equality and diversity.  Due to the nature of the work, you must be able to gain access to all office locations and to carry IT equipment.

The closing date is 12 noon, 17 March 2011 with the interviews being held on 6 April 2011.
