July 2008

Hello everyone! It seems a long time ago since I wrote my last blog in May. Since then I have been on holiday to Islay in Scotland, I have been ill a few times, but hopefully I will be getting better soon and I will be fit and raring to go. Anyway, you should have been introduced to my big sister, Holly after she wrote the last blog. She enjoyed writing it and wanted to do one again, however, I insisted that I write the blogs.

I had a great time in Islay last month; it was my first ever holiday. We went on a lot of walks and the weather was really nice, which Kirt said was a miracle. I also went swimming in the sea; I was a little bit nervous at the beginning but I soon picked it up and I can not wait to go to the beach again. I used the holiday as a chance to have a break from training because up to then, I had been training nearly everyday. Kirt, my trainer, must have enjoyed the break too.

On my return from Islay, I picked up a stomach virus and I was not very well for about a week but thankfully the vet saw me and gave me some antibiotics. The antibiotics worked and my stomach was a lot better, which was great news because Holly and I then had to go on a training course at the Fire Service College in Moreton-in-the-Marsh, Gloucestershire.

At the training course we met lots of different dogs from various parts of the country and a few dogs had some strange barking accents that I found difficult to understand. We were tested on using our noses, finding humans and doing runaways on the course, which Holly and myself successfully passed, much to the delight of ourselves and Kirt.

Since then, I have just been resting because unfortunately I have picked up another illness but hopefully it will pass in a few days. I look forward to writing my blog again next month when I should feel a lot better.

Bye
