Information in Other Languages

Lancashire is a large county reflecting a rich and diverse mix of communities, religions and cultures. Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service acknowledges the importance of providing appropriate access to information and services for all our communities.

In order to ensure equality of access to documents identified as being of significant relevance or interest, we will, on request, provide assistance with interpretation in appropriate community languages. Printed Fire Safety Information on how to book a Home Fire Safety Check will also soon be available in Urdu, Gujarati, Punjabi, Bengali, Chinese and Polish.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service subscribes to the Language Line Services telephone interpreting service. This provides us with instant access to interpreters of 150 different languages and allows any person who does not speak English to communicate with us and gain full access to all our services in both emergency and non-emergency situations.
