Volunteering OpportunitiesVolunteering opportunities in Lancashire A little time to help people understand the risks of fire and how to make themselves safer really can save a live. Volunteers bring a wealth of knowledge about their neighbourhoods and are well placed to help Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service bring safety services even more closely to the people we serve; reaching more people; involving communities in what we do and making improvements to the services we offer. We value the time, skills and knowledge our Volunteers uniquely bring to the Service and support them with a package of training and assistance to help them get enjoyment and new experiences from the roles they undertake. Perhaps the biggest thing gained from volunteering with Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service is the knowledge that their time offered really can help save the life of someone living in their own neighbourhood. Volunteers are welcome from all walks of life. You don’t necessarily need to have any particular skills or experience, just a desire to work with us in your local community. Whatever your age, gender or ethnicity, if you have the time to give and the enthusiasm to help make Lancashire safer, we’d like to hear from you. This scheme is currently being trialled in the Burnley area and we are currently not recruiting. However, if you are interested in becoming a Volunteer for Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service, please email Linda Guise with your name, address, telephone and email details. Linda's email address is lindaguise@lancsfirerescue.org.uk
