Wholetime Firefighter Recruitment 2008

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service will commence recruitment for Wholetime Firefighters in September 2008.

The process begins with a series of Open Days/Evenings, at which prospective candidates will have to undertake a ‘Bleep Test’, and achieve a level of 9.6 in order to receive an application form. 

The events will take place at our International Training Centre, Washington Hall, Southport Road, Euxton, Chorley , PR7 6DH .  Directions to the Centre can be found at www.washingtonhall.co.uk/location.htm

Details of these Open Days or Evenings are as follows:-

Friday 29 August 2008

Session 1

1300-1430

 

Session 2

1430 - 1600

Sunday 31 August 2008

Session 3

1000 - 1130

 

Session 4

1130 - 1300

 

Session 5

1400 - 1530

Monday 1 September 2008

Session 6

1830 - 2000

You will need to call the Recruitment Hotline in order to register for a place on one of these events.  Places are limited and are allocated on a ‘first come-first served’ basis.

Telephone lines will open on 13 August 2008 between 1000 and 1400 hours.  Registrations will not be taken before this time.

Registrations will not be accepted from personal callers to the office.

You will need to give us your name and full contact details, together with the session you would like to attend.  Sessions will fill up quickly so you may not be allocated on your first choice.
