Lancashire Fire & Rescue Equality SchemeProviding services that are fair and equitable to all our diverse communities, and providing staff with an environment committed to equal opportunities is important to us. The Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service Equality Scheme sets out our approach to all equality issues. This is supported by specific documents that detail our statutory duties regarding race, disability and gender. All department carried out Equality Impact Assessments (EIAs) of our policies, procedures and practices. These are designed to ensure there are no unjustifiable adverse effect on any individual or group. Where applicable, consultation and research is carried out and suitable action plans devised to ensure that any areas for improvements are rectified at the earliest opportunity.
