Safer Lancashire
The Safer Lancashire website was developed in 2002 to promote the work of each district Community Safety Partnership. The website provides information to the public and there is also a restricted area for Members.
Lancashire Road Safety Partnership
The Lancashire Partnership for Road Safety is a multi-agency Partnership committed to reducing the numbers of deaths and injuries on Lancashire’s roads. It is a long-term commitment to making fundamental positive changes in the public’s attitudes towards road user behaviour.
Wasted Lives
The Wasted Lives Programme, delivered free by experienced Lancashire Partnership for Road Safety facilitators, is one full day dedicated to challenging new and soon-to-be young drivers’ attitudes to the risks associated with driving. They’ll develop a better understanding of the potential consequences of taking risks behind the wheel.
Prince’s Trust
The Prince’s Trust is a charity founded by The Prince of Wales to help disadvantaged young people aged 14-30. It works with people such as the long-term unemployed, people who have been in trouble with the law, people who are in difficulty at school, and people who have been in care.
National Schools Fire Safety Week 2010
To help raise awareness of the dangers of fire and educate children about fire safety, The Fire Fighters Charity and the Communities and Local Government Fire Kills Campaign are encouraging primary schools to work with their local Fire and Rescue Service during the National Schools Fire Safety Week (4th-8th October 2010).
