REGIONAL FIRE SAFETY TRAINING CO-ORDINATOR (2 year contract)
Salary £27,052 – £30,011 (subject to job evaluation)
Based at Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service Training Centre, Washington Hall, Chorley, you will be responsible for co-ordinating and delivering legislative fire safety training across the region. This will be a rewarding and challenging role where you will be expected to work both independently and as part of a team to utilise your experience and skills to develop the regional training framework.
Due to the nature of the role it is essential that you have experience of enforcing or working with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and have successfully completed the Fire Service College Fire Safety Modules 1 to 8, or hold similar technical qualifications. You will have excellent teaching skills, with the ability to research and develop training packages for a range of audiences and be able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. The successful candidate will also have good IT skills and be able to demonstrate knowledge of current equality and diversity issues in a public sector context. You must be willing to attend evening and weekend meetings as required, have a current UK driving licence and a vehicle suitable for travel throughout the North West (Cumbria, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside and Cheshire)
This role will encompass training delivery to new and existing Fire Safety Officers as well as chairing a Chief Fire Officers Association regional training group.
