Fire Safety at home
This section provides you with information about the different hazards that may create a fire or safety risk along with advice on what you can do to minimise the risk. It also provides information on risks you may come across outside your home, as well as advice on what to do if you do have a fire.
To help you prevent a fire from happening in the first place, or to help you escape safely if the worst happens, we recommend that you ask us to carry out a free home fire safety check.
Community safety
From road safety, to flooding, to rescuing trapped people and working with other agencies to respond to emergencies, your fire and rescue service is involved in a wide range of community safety work. This section provides you with more information about this activity – as well as help and advice in what to do if you are affected by any of the issues covered.
Business Safety
Businesses have a legal requirement to have in place fire safety measures in their premises and to provide a means of safe escape for employees or customers. This section provides businesses with advice and outlines what the fire and rescue service will do if businesses do not comply with the law.
