TEMPORARY PRINCE’S TRUST PROGRAMME SUPPORT WORKER (Initially 12 months)

Salary scale 4 £17,161 – £19,126

36.15 hours per week, Monday to Friday, flexitime working arrangements.

Based at Northern Area Headquarters, Lancaster, but out posted to Morecambe and Fleetwood, the role of a Programme Support Worker is to assist in the running of Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service by supporting the Team Leader, ensuring an efficient and effective delivery of the Princes Trust Team Programme.

Holding or willing to work towards an appropriate teaching qualification, you will have good communication skills and the ability to maintain accurate records.  Able to work under your own initiative and as part of a team is essential, as is the ability to work outside normal office hours.  A current driving licence and a demonstrable commitment to equality and diversity is also required.  Experience of liaising with young people in terms of their development, though not essential, would be an advantage, as would the ability to deliver training to small groups.

The closing date is 1200 noon, 13 May 2011 with the interviews being held on 3 June 2011
