The Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service has six Areas, which are based on the boundaries of the District Councils and Unitary Authorities. The Area structure incorporates a Community Protection Manager who is responsible for a number of safety teams and who organises all community activity. Service Delivery Managers are in charge of one or more fire stations, whilst overall responsibility for performance rests with the Head of Service Delivery who oversees two paired Areas.
