On Monday 21 December firefighters from across Lancashire will be taking part in a 24 hour challenge to raise money for The Fire Fighters Charity.
The firefighters will be running for a period of 24 hours in teams of four at various stations across the county. The run will start from midday on 21 December until midday on 22 December.
Firefighter Fairclough said: “donations to charities have really suffered this year so it’s great to take part in this challenge to help out The Fire Fighters Charity when they do so much for us. It will be a long 24 hours and a lot of miles to cover but we’re hoping this group effort will raise a lot of money for the charity.”
The run will take place on treadmills within LFRS gyms and staff will undertake cleaning and social distance measures between runners.

We’re very proud to announce that our firefighters completed this challenge and raised over £4,000 for The Fire Fighters Charity and ran 987 miles! Some very tired firefighters and some very sore legs!
