At 14:18 five fire engines attended a fire at a farm on Bury Road, Edgworth. Two fire engines from Manchester along with Darwen, Haslingden and Rawtenstall are at the scene. The fire involved a biomass boiler in a log shed measuring 30mx20m. Crews used two hose reels, one jet and two breathing apparatus. Crews remained at the scene until the morning of the 09/11 using a thermal imaging camera and assessing the building until it could be handed over to a responsible person.
