Fire crews from Nelson were called to a domestic building fire on Helmsdale Road, Nelson. The fire involved a ground floor room which had spread to an upstairs bedroom. Four firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used two hose reels and a ventilation unit to extinguish the fire. There were no casualties reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
