Firefighters from Darwen were called to reports of a cat that was trapped in an air vent of a house that was under renovation on Meadow Street, Darwen. Upon arrival they found the cat was stuck in the cavity wall of the property and assisted by removing the air brick in the gable end of the property using some small tools. They were then able to safely rescue the cat. They were in attendance approximately 15 minutes.
