At 10:38 on 23rd July, one fire engine from Chorley attended an animal rescue on Lomond Close, Euxton. The incident involved a cat that was stuck on the roof of a three-storey domestic property. Firefighters used one 13.5m ladder, and a roof ladder to rescue the animal. They were in attendance for approximately thirty minutes.
