Animal rescue in Hest Bank

At 11:53am on 10th February, two fire engines from Penwortham and Morecambe and a four wheel drive vehicle from Morecambe attended an animal rescue on Hasty Brow Road, Hest Bank. Fire crews rescued a dog which had fallen through a hole in the ice in the middle of a pond. Crews rescued the dog from the water using a ceiling hook and a flood suit. They were at the scene for approximately twenty minutes.
