At 18:38 four fire engines attended a fire at Station Road, Newton with Clifton. The incident involved a barge on fire and firefighters used two hose reel jets, a light portable fire, one jet, lighting and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire. They were in attendance for several hours and there were no reported casualties.
