Firefighters from Skelmersdale and Ormskirk attended reports of a fire on New Way in Bickerstaffe. On arrival they found the fire involved two barns approximately 20m by 40m. They set about tackling the fire using eight breathing apparatus, one jet, two hose reels, a ventilation unit and a thermal imaging camera. Also in use was some lighting equipment and a triple extension ladder. Crews were in attendance for several hours until around 7am.
