At 20:57 three fire engines from Hyndburn and Blackburn attended a fire involving a second floor flat on Blackburn Road, Accrington. Firefighters used four breathing apparatus, two hose reels and a positive ventilation fan to bring the fire under control. Crews were in attendance for two hours and twenty minutes.
