At 10:48 six crews were called to a fire on New Wellington Street, Blackburn. The fire involved three terraced properties split into commercial and domestic flats. The main area of the fire was within one of the commerical properties. Crews from Darwen, Preston, Leyland, Nelson, Blackpool and Great Harwood attended and used six breathing apparatus and positive ventilation fan to extinguish the fire.
At 12:26 the fire was reported as being under control and a fire investigation was underway to establish the cause.
