Firefighters from Chorley and Bamber Bridge were called to a property on Gilbert Street, Chorley after a passer by spotted a fire in one of the houses. Three fire engines attended and on arrival found the first and second floor of the property were well alight. Four firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used two hose reels and a ventilation unit to extinguish the fire. There were no casualties reported and firefighters were in attendance approximately three hours. The cause of the fire is now under joint investigation alongside the Police.
