Darwen and Blackburn crews attended a fire at a house on Radfield Avenue in Darwen. The fire involved the roof space of the property and was well alight when firefighters arrived. An additional three fire engines attended (totalling six) and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the fire. The fire was extinguished using breathing apparatus and hose reels. One casualty was reported however they declined hospital treatment. Firefighters are currently still in attendance.
As of 1pm, two fire crews are in attendance damping down.
