At 10:19 three fire engines from Rawtenstall and Ramsbottom attended a persons reported fire on Chester Cresent, Haslingden. On arrival all persons had evacuated and crews were dealing with a washing machine on fire. They used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel and positive ventilation unit to extinguish the fire. They were engaged for 1 hour and twenty minutes.
