At 15:02 there was a fire on the second floor of a four storey derelict building in Yewdale, Skelmersdale. Crews used four breathing apparatus, one partner saw, two jets and one hose reel. Two fire engines from Skelmersdale, one from Ormskirk and one from Wigan attended and were detained for three hours and forty minutes. The fire was thought to be of suspicious origin.
