At 05:29 two fire engines from Nelson attended a domestic building fire at Barley New Road, Barley. The ground floor of the property in question was heavily smoke logged and crews used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel and a positive ventilation fan to fight the fire. Crews were at the scene for about one hour.
