We are pleased to announce that our annual Charity Bonfire and Firework Display is taking place on Monday 5th November at our Service Training Centre in Euxton, Chorley.
This year the charities we are supporting are:
Firefighters Charity
Rosemere Cancer Foundation, Chorley
Age UK Lancashire
So keep your family safe and come along to an organised display!
Hot food, drinks, sweets and snacks will be available on the night.
FAQ’s
What time does it start?
Gates open from 5:30pm. The bonfire will be lit at 7pm and fireworks will commence at 7:30pm
Will there be food?
Hot and cold food will be available to purchase onsite as well as sweets and drinks
Can people arrive on foot?
Parking is limited so we welcome people arriving on foot
Where will there be extra parking available?
We will provide details nearer the time where the overflow car park will be situated
Can I bring my dog?
Unfortunately due to the large numbers of people expected and health and safety concerns we ask people to leave their dogs safely at home. The RSPCA shares some information on how to keep pets safe on bonfire night here
Where is the money going from this event?
Money raised will go towards three charities and be split between the Firefighters Charity, Age UK Lancashire and Rosemere Cancer Foundation. £10,000 was raised in 2017 which was fantastic!
How will the event be managed?
Staff from Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service will be running the event from acting as marshalls, fire safety, first-aid, catering and taking payment on the gate. There will also be a dedicated team working on the bonfire and fireworks specifically
How old to you have to be to attend?
Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult
Can I bring my own fireworks or sparklers?
Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service have purchased fireworks for this display and we therefore ask you not to buy any to bring. Sparklers will be available to purchase on the night but must be used within the dedicated sparkler area set up by Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service
How long has this event been runnning?
Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service has run their annual charity bonfire and fireworks night since the 1980’s!
