A fire engine and crew from Lancaster responded to a 999 call reporting a chimney on fire at a house on Lancaster Road, Caton. The householders had managed to extinguish the fire themselves and was uninjured. Firefighters pitched a ladder for access and used a thermal imaging camera to confirm that there was no remaining fire residue.
