Firefighters from Tarleton were called to a fire involving a wood burning stove at a domestic property on Shore Road, Hesketh Bank. Firefighters on arrival found the fire had spread to the fire surround and so they used small tools to gain access behind the mantle and chimney breast and extinguish the fire. Fire crews were in attendance approximately one hour.
