At 11:23am on 23rd June, four fire engines from Blackburn, Darwen and Hyndburn and an aerial ladder platform attended an incident involving a commercial garage on Canterbury Street, Blackburn. Firefighters used two jets, one ground monitor and two breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire. One casualty suffered smoke inhalation and was treated by North West Ambulance Service.
