At 04:25 on 18th September, four fire engines from Blackburn, Hyndburn, and Darwen, attended a commercial building fire on Whalley New Road, Blackburn. The incident involved a single storey commercial property approximately 40x40m in size. Firefighters used three breathing apparatus, one jet, one hose reel, a thermal imaging camera, a positive pressure ventilation unit, and a triple extension ladder to extinguish the fire. They were in attendance for three hours.
