Commercial building fire in Blackburn - Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service

Four fire engines from Blackburn, Hyndburn and Darwen attended a fire at Penny Street, Blackburn involving a commercial premise. Fire crews were in attendance along with Lancashire Police. Firefighters wore breathing apparatus, two hose reels and ventilation unit to extinguish the fire. At approximately 15:00 hours the number of fire engines was reduced to two to monitor the scene and continue damping down. Crews were in attendance for approximately two hours. This incident has now been handed over to the local authority.
