At 20:17 on the 6th May 2023, ten fire engines, two aerial ladder platform and the stinger appliance are attending a commercial building fire on Lower Audley Street, Blackburn. Firefighting operations are underway.

If you can see or smell smoke, please keep your windows and doors closed. Please avoid the area.
The drone team is also in attendance, please do not fly drones nearby as you will obstruct emergency operations 
Update at 10:30pm: The water bowser and high volume pump are also in attendance. Firefighters are using ground monitors, two ventilation unit, two jets hose reel jets and one hose reel and the aerial ladder platforms to bring the fire under control.

Update at 00:30 on the 7th May: Crews will be remain in attendance overnight and into Sunday. If you can see or smell smoke, please keep your windows and doors closed. Thank you.

Update at 10:00 on the 7th May: This incident has now been reduced to two fire engines and a aerial ladder platform. Crews will remain in attendance throughout today monitoring and extinguishing any hotspots and dampening down.

Lower Audrey Street has now been re-opened.
