At 07:57 on 15 July, four fire engines from Bamber Bridge, Penwortham, Leyland, and Preston, together with a stinger from Blackburn, attended a commercial building fire on Church Lane, Farington. Firefighters used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel, one jet, and the stinger appliance to extinguish the fire. They were in attendance for two hours and fifty minutes.
