At 19:53 six fire engines from Preston, Fulwood, Bamber Bridge, Penwortham and the Hazardous Material unit from South Shore attended a commercial building fire on Carlton Avenue, Preston. The building measured 20m x 30m and was well alight. Firefighters used four breathing apparatus, two hose reels and one jet to extinguish the fire. Firefighters were at the scene for three hours.
