At 23:42 on 28th August, eight fire engines from Bacup, Rawtenstall, Burnley, Hyndburn, Blackburn, Blackpool, Bispham, and South Shore, including two aerial ladder platforms as well as a command support unit, attended a commercial building fire on Bacup Road, Rawtenstall. Two pumps from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) also responded. The fire involved a commercial property approximately 70x10m in size. Firefighters used breaking-in gear, four breathing apparatus, two handheld jets, and two aerial ladder platforms at this incident. They remained at the scene for a number of hours.
