At 20:41 on 8 June 2023, four fire engines from Hyndburn, Rawtenstall and Ramsbottom attended a commercial building fire on Chapel Street, Rossendale. Fire crews used one hose reel, two breathing apparatus, a triple extension ladder and lighting to extinguish the fire. Crews were on scene for approximately thirty-five minutes.
