At 17:20 on 25 August four fire engines from Hyndburn, Blackburn and Darwen attended a report of a building fire on Blackburn Road, Great Harwood. This was a fire involving an air conditioning unit at the rear of a commercial property which had spread to the internal roof space. Fire crews removed facia boards and extinguished the fire using a triple extension ladder, breaking in tools, two hose reels, two breathing apparatus and a positive ventilation unit. Fire crews were in attendance for approximately thirty minutes.
